Pasadena Waldorf School seventh-grade student Verona H. has had her artwork, a watercolor titled égalitariste, published in Stone Soup Magazine. Her watercolor is featured with other contributions from writers and artists, all aged 14 and under.
Stone Soup is the literary magazine entirely written and illustrated by children aged 14 and under. The magazine is published by the Children’s Art Foundation whose intent is to help young people use the power of reading and writing “to change a life and to change the world.”
They say, “More than ever, kids need places where they can learn to slow down, look closely, and think deeply… As a magazine and a publisher, Stone Soup also provides a platform to empower kids to be authors of their own stories, both real and imagined. We show them their voice truly matters.”
