Seacoast Waldorf School seeks a well-rounded Grade 1 Teacher who is joyful and warm, with strong interpersonal and communication skills, effective classroom management, and enthusiasm for teaching. We desire to hire a qualified individual committed to leading the Class through the 2025-2026 school year and beyond.

About the School: Seacoast Waldorf School is an associate member of AWSNA and a full member of WECAN that serves students from preschool through eighth grade. We have a full specialty schedule, an educational support team, and a full administrative staff including a pedagogical director.
Our school has committed to a sustainable combined class model that allows healthy and robust classes and living wages for the faculty. Each teacher is provided generous opportunities for professional development and mentoring. The school is entering its 25th year.
Seacoast Waldorf School is located on the Seacoast of Maine, in an area that is rich in arts, culture, and history. Only minutes from the ocean, SWS is also centrally located between Boston, MA, Portland, ME, and the White Mountains of New Hampshire.
Our school campus includes an early childhood/lower school building, an upper school building, and a woodworking yurt, located on 5 acres, surrounded by conservation land with woods, trails, and many opportunities for exploration.
Employment Details
Compensation: Our competitive faculty compensation package begins at $47,000 and includes increments for education level, Waldorf certificate, and teaching experience. We also offer some tuition remission (for those with children), medical, dental, and vision benefits, retirement, and professional development.
