Kimberton Waldorf School is accepting applications from exceptional teacher candidates for the 2025-26 school year. Founded in 1941, Kimberton is the second oldest Waldorf school in North America. Just 25 miles from Philadelphia, our campus is situated on over 400 acres of beautiful biodynamic farmland, and we offer a full Waldorf curriculum from preschool through 12th grade. Essential Job Duties
The essential duty of the teacher is to be a model of maturity for young people. We are looking for professionals who:
- lead the class with presence, patience, humor, and wisdom
- communicate regularly and clearly with parents and colleagues
- attend weekly staff meetings
- are organized and prepared every day
- develop healthy relationships with all students, parents, and staff
Qualifications
We expect teachers to have a personal connection to and appreciation for Waldorf education, and we expect their understanding of Waldorf education to continue to develop over time. Formal Waldorf training is preferred, but not required. Typically, a strong candidate will already have substantial teaching experience at a Waldorf school.
