First Grade Teacher
Opening Statement
Corvallis Waldorf School is looking for an experienced, enthusiastic First Grade Teacher for the 2025-2026 school year. We seek applicants who have a strong commitment to Waldorf education and proven capacities for teaching. We seek individuals who are committed to excellence in teaching, parent education and dialogue, self-development, collegial cooperation, and working out of Anthroposophy. We seek colleagues who share the goals of Waldorf Education and who are dedicated to the healthy development of each child.
About
CWS was founded in 1993 in the homes of a few dedicated and inspired parents in Corvallis. We are currently located on an expansive 11 acre site in a former public school elementary facility. We are an AWSNA developing school with a stable staff and vibrant families in lovely surroundings. Our school offers a full early childhood program and grades one through eight along with an extended day program. We currently have over 160 students enrolled and are projecting a class of 15 for the upcoming first grade. We complement our classroom experiences with subject teachers for Handwork, Agriculture, Strings/Music, Spanish, and Games/Movement. Our faculty is supported by a strong administrative staff.
Qualifications
Preferred Qualifications:
- Waldorf teacher trained
- Bachelor’s Degree
- Strong commitment to Waldorf education and proven capacities for teaching
- Initiative, dependability, and collaborative approach
- Organized, dependable, punctual
