Opening Statement
Marin Waldorf School is looking for an enthusiastic first grade teacher to join our warm, collegial faculty and community for the 2025-2026 school year.
Salary range: $66,560 – $93,000 * Benefits: Medical, Dental, Vision
Applicants should demonstrate:
- Completion of Waldorf Teacher training or equivalent.
- Enthusiasm and joy for Waldorf teaching coupled with effective classroom management skills and a commitment to ongoing professional growth.
- Confident in and inspired by the foundational and evolving Waldorf curriculum.
- An ability to work supportively and in collaboration with colleagues.
- Positive and effective communication skills with parents and colleagues.
- Cultural competency and confidence working with diverse family and collegial backgrounds and an interest in professional growth as cultural expectations evolve in a socially just and equitable direction.
About
Marin Waldorf School serves approximately 220 students from our thriving parent/toddler program, 2 preschools, 2 kindergartens and a full grades program (1-8). Our 10-acre campus includes a beautiful oak grove, biodynamic garden, very large grass playing field, Multiple play areas and gardens for EC – 8th grade as well as a library and a woodwork studio. Our expanded curriculum includes: Woodwork, handwork, instrumental music, orchestra, choir, physical, outdoor, environmental and ecology education, gardening, Eurythmy, Spanish, and Mandarin.

Qualifications
Education and Experience Requirements
- Certificate of Completion in Waldorf Teaching
- Bachelor’s degree
- Previous Waldorf class teaching experience
Employment Details
Compensation
This is a full time, salaried position, with increments for teaching experience. MWS offers dental and health insurance, as well as tuition remission for qualified faculty children.
