Band Teacher Long-Term Sub
Opening Statement
Aurora Waldorf School is currently accepting applications for a Band Teacher Long-Term Sub. This position will be from January to June 2025.
The band teacher leads two 45-minute weekly rehearsals: Mondays, 1:15 to 1:55, and Wednesdays, 11:30 to 12:10. Classes resume after winter recess on Monday, January 6th, and end on June 6th. The teacher will need to file student grades for Term 2 and Term 3.
A Bachelor of Arts or Science is also required. Experience teaching band, knowledge of the principles of Waldorf education, and formal music training is preferred.
Candidates must be capable and understand how to play all band instruments, transcribe music, rewrite and edit parts appropriately, and be enthusiastic about working with middle school children. There are also opportunities for private teaching after school.
The salary is $2,200
