Administrator
Opening Statement
As the Administrator, you will lead the school in a positive, collaborative manner consistent with the principles of Waldorf education and servant leadership. While the administrative functions of the school including business, personnel, enrollment, and facilities management are core to this position, it is anticipated that the Administrator fully participates in the school festivals and events to help build community. The Administrator oversees the long-term, strategic work of the school and balances the unique pedagogical needs of a Waldorf school with Administrative demands.

Madison Waldorf School provides an education that honors every child’s enthusiasm for initiative, creativity, and social responsibility. Our school offers early childhood through grade eight education, including Spanish, German, Movement, Woodworking, Strings, Band, and Handwork. In addition, we have a parent/child program to introduce young families to Waldorf education.
Madison Waldorf School is an associate member school with AWSNA (Association of Waldorf Schools of North America) and WECAN (Waldorf Early Childhood Association of North America.

Essential Job Duties
A strong candidate for this position has the ability to exercise sound judgment and problem solving skills including the ability to organize, prioritize, delegate, and coordinate work assignments. Flexibility, creativity, and computer skills are essential to the work. Most importantly, we seek an experienced, inspiring leader who takes joy in the work of bringing Waldorf education to students and families.
Qualifications
We value a collaborative spirit, strong communication skills, long-term and strategic thinking, experience in management, and working with a budget.
This full-time, salaried, year-round position is hired by and reports to the Board of Trustees. Past experience with nonprofit work and/or Waldorf education is preferable. Further information can be found in the Position Description, supplied upon request.
Employment Details
Pay: $55,000.00 – $65,000.00 per year
