Essential Job Duties
As the Academic Director, you will be the heart of our pedagogical leadership. You will support and develop our dedicated faculty, ensuring they have the tools and guidance to provide the highest quality Waldorf education. Collaborating with parents, teachers, and administration, you will advocate for the educational needs of each child, shaping a vibrant learning environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead and inspire the faculty in implementing strategic pedagogical goals.
- Supervise and evaluate teaching staff, providing mentorship and professional development.
- Address academic concerns collaboratively with teachers and the Collegium.
- Facilitate communication with parents, creating a professional and supportive atmosphere.
- Oversee the development and implementation of curriculum, assessments, and student learning plans.
Qualifications
Qualifications:
- Minimum – Bachelors degree.
- Minimum of 5 years teaching experience in a Waldorf School, with educational administration experience highly preferred.
- Proven track record in observing, evaluating, and guiding teachers.
- Strong knowledge of Waldorf education and pedagogy.
- Exceptional leadership, communication, and conflict resolution skills.
- A commitment to personal and spiritual growth in alignment with the principles of Anthroposophy.
Employment Details
Compensation and benefits
$70K-$120K depending on qualifications, experience, and skills. Healthcare, dental, tuition remission included
