About the Conference:
Bringing the nurturing and healing gestures to children who are experiencing stress and anxiety begins by working on the restorative transformation of our own lives. Cultivating inner tenderness in ourselves, births and imbues an empathetic understanding of others. This will lead us into the exploration of the modalities that deepen, support, sooth, and comfort the children in our care.

Lunch and snacks will be included with the conference fee.
$120

Group rate for schools: 3+ people- $100 per person, 5+ people- $90 per person

About the presenters:
Laurie Clark has had the privilege of being a Waldorf early educator since 1978. She incorporates her therapeutic training into all aspects of the classroom and is in continual research through observation and constant engagement with the young child. The deep question of how to meet the child of today and exploring their needs in practical applications lies at the heart of her work. Laurie mentors teachers, is a frequent conference presenter and has co-authored two books with Nancy Blanning on therapeutic movement for young children.

Lodging and Logistics:
The Anthroposophical Society may have availability on Friday night for people to stay. Ann Arbor is home to the University of Michigan, which just so happens to have a football game the day of our event. It may be wise to look for overnight stays in closer surrounding cities in the metro area for a better rate.
