This two-part workshop introduces the Waldorf approach to drawing, focusing on four key subjects: humans, animals, nature, and buildings. Student teachers will build foundational skills using beeswax block crayons and chalk for blackboard drawings, exploring form, gesture, and composition through guided exercises

Format: Crayon and chalk lesson with guided drawing exercises and step-by-step demonstrations using Steiner’s indications for color and form.
Session 1: Humans & Animals
Part 1: Drawing Humans
- Understanding proportions: the human figure at different ages
- Basic shapes to construct figures and gestures
- Simplified anatomy: head, hands, and feet
- Expression and movement
Part 2: Drawing Animals
- Breaking down animals into simple forms
- Capturing movement and personality
- Understanding fur, feathers, and texture
- Drawing animals in relation to humans (scale & interaction)
Session 2: Nature & Architecture
Part 3: Drawing Nature
- Trees, plants, and landscapes
- Light, shadow, layering colors
- Drawing different types of leaves and flowers
- Rocks, water, clouds
Part 4: Drawing Houses & Buildings
- Simplified structures: cottages to castles
- Adding texture and details (wood, brick, stone)
- How to integrate buildings into landscapes
