Front Office Manager
Opening Statement
Tara Performing Arts High School is seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Front Office Manager to be the logistical hub of our day-to-day operations.

Essential Job Duties
- Be the welcoming face of Tara: Greet students, parents, faculty, visitors, and more, creating a warm and inviting atmosphere.
- Maintain the front office: This includes everything from managing data and filing systems to ensuring adequate office supplies and keeping the space clean and functional.
- Communication is key: Orchestrate communication to the Tara community through email, phone calls, text messages, and printed materials.
- Support staff and faculty: Assist with printing needs, provide basic IT support, help with travel arrangements, and coordinate with teachers.
- Student support: Greet students, track attendance, manage student IDs, and collect cell phones. A sense of humor in regards to teenagers while still expecting respectful communication is key to success.
- Event coordination: Support the Events Coordinator with larger events and work with Production staff for Tara productions.
- Additional duties: Track room rentals, manage keys, open/close the schoolhouse, maintain student emergency information folders, and more.
Qualifications
- Minimum 2 years of experience in a fast-paced administrative or office management role
- Knowledge of Waldorf education and experience with private schools preferred
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills
- Ability to prioritize multiple tasks and work independently
- Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills
- Strong writing skills; the ability to communicate with clarity and warmth
- Proficient in Google Suite and familiar with Microsoft Office products
- Positive and enthusiastic attitude with a dedication to fostering a welcoming environment
Employment Details
Salary $55,000 annually
Benefits Health insurance premium paid 100% for employee
Full tuition remission for children attending Tara after one year of employment; does not include
trips and fees
Two complimentary tickets to each Tara production
Paid Vacation
2 weeks during Christmas Break
1 week during Easter Break
3 weeks during Summer Vacation
Typical Schedule
In Office:
- September-June
- Monday and Wednesday 10:30am-6:30pm
- Tuesday, Thursday, and Friday 8:00am-4:00pm
- July and first half of August:
- Monday-Friday 10:00am-2:00pm
Production and Event Support: Evenings and Weekends as needed for approximately 9 events per year
