About
About Threefold Educational Foundation
In 1926 a group of New York City anthroposophists bought a farm in Spring Valley, New York, and set about creating a living community of practical work inspired by the teachings of Rudolf Steiner. Their project continues to this day, in the work and life of Threefold Educational Foundation, which stewards and supports a 140-acre residential campus and a community of programs, conferences, initiatives, and institutions. These programs, initiatives, and institutions include Green Meadow Waldorf School, The Otto Specht School, Eurythmy Spring Valley, The Fiber Craft Studio, Sunbridge Institute, Threefold Community Farm, Threefold Cafe, and others.
For nearly a century, situated just thirty miles north of New York City, the Threefold community and Threefold Educational Foundation have worked out of love for the essential nature of the human being as a spiritual being, on a mission to:
- Serve and advance cultural renewal in education, agriculture, the arts, science, religion, and social forms;
- Maintain a supportive and receptive environment for human growth, practical work, and community life; and
- Form a vessel of collaboration whose substance ennobles the working community, inspires new forms for the future, and radiates out into the world in service to the needs of our time.
Now the Foundation is looking for new leadership to build on decades of successful institutional development and catalyze an exciting period of growth and continued service to local and surrounding communities, the global Anthroposophical movement, and the spirit of our time.
