Pleasant Ridge Waldorf School is seeking applications for an Afternoon (11:30am-3:30pm) Kindergarten Assistant. This position is available immediately.
About
The mission of Pleasant Ridge Waldorf School is to provide a full Waldorf education to children in early childhood through eighth grade and to be a vital and active part of the Driftless region. Founded in 1980, the school is solidly established with an enrollment of approximately 160 students. The school has full member status through WECAN and AWSNA. Dedicated and compassionate teachers, staff, and parents work side-by-side to tend to the dignity and well-being of our children and community of adults. Essential Job Duties
Kindergarten Assistants are expected to study and be familiar with Waldorf pedagogy and early childhood development. Kindergarten Assistants work closely with the lead teacher to provide a caring and warm Waldorf early childhood experience for our young students, ages 3.5 to 6 years of age.
Qualifications
The ideal candidate is experienced with assisting in early childhood settings. Certification or other early childhood credentials preferred. Candidates should be at ease with indoor and outdoor play (in all weather), cooking, modeling household activities, conscious of safety, and able to work both collaboratively and independently. Support for professional development is available.
